Delhi Development Authority (DDA) vice chairman Balvinder Kumar inaugurated the first phase of a DDA-Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) wetlands development project adjacent to the university's upcoming campus in Dheerpur on Friday.

The AUD recently entered into a management agreement with the DDA to restore an area of 25.38 hectares as urban wetlands adjacent to its upcoming Campus at Dheerpur.

This initiative for the restoring and maintenance of the wetlands, which is to be carried out jointly by the DDA and AUD, is expected to improve the quality of life in the Campus as well as its neighbourhood at Dheerpur.
