The death toll from a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in north eastern Nepal has reportedly risen to 30, while dozens remain missing.
Media reports stated that police officials have estimated that at least 24 people are still missing and added that the number could be higher.
Rescuers have been searching the rubble for survivors in Taplejung district, about 310 miles east of Kathmandu. A rescue helicopter has also joined the search operation after the weather improved.
This landslide has come mere weeks after two powerful quakes hit the Himalayan nation, killing 8,700 people and destroying thousands of homes.
Taplejung district had escaped serious damage during the April 25 and May 12 quakes.
