A farmer of Madhya Pradesh's Morena has allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison.
The farmer identified as Rakesh Dhakad was under heavy debts, which drove him to take the drastic step.
This is not the first incident of farmer suicide in the state.
On Sunday, a farmer committed suicide in the state's Sehore district due to reduced crop yield and heavy debts.
The incident occurs only few days after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with State-Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) to discuss the farmers' issues.
Chouhan had said that the farmers should be provided with easy cashless transaction options, and that they should be made aware of various state and Centre schemes meant for farmers.
