The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday staged a protest march to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) office here, over the killing of BJP and Rashtriya Samajsevak Sangh (RSS) workers in Kerala.

Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh, took part in the protest.

He said, "The BJP has made a resolve that we will not let the leftist infuse the culture of violence in the Indian democracy, " adding that the campaign was organised to safeguard Indian democracy and the non-violent principles espoused by Mahatma Gandhi.

"Everyone should understand that violence is not a solution for political indifferences. If any efforts are made to do this, then it will be an attack on democracy," Singh said.

Singh said the BJP's "struggle will see 125 crore Indian joining in."

Meanwhile, BJP leader Vijay Goel has said that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is promoting violence in the state.

"It is state sponsored violence. The CM is not stopping it; he is encouraging it," Goel told ANI.

He claimed over 120 people RSS and BJP activists have being killed so far, and others are being threatened.

He also levelled allegations against CPI-M and the Congress Party for indulging in political violence.

"Wherever they come to power, be it in West Bengal, Tripura, or Kerala, there is political violence," he added.

"Where are the people who took out candles and talked of lynching? They can't see these killings?' he added.
