Fabian Delph, who made his debut for Manchester City, was injured after he suffered a suspected hamstring injury in a 4-1 defeat by Real Madrid.
It is suspected that the eight million pounds signing from Aston Villa could miss the start of the Premier League season as he got injured just 18 minutes into the game, the BBC reported.
Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe gave Real a 3-0 lead before Yaya Toure converted a spot-kick and scored the lone goal for City.
However, Denis Cheryshev scored the fourth and final goal for the dominant Spaniards.
