"Netaji's files which were to be classified and declassified, discussion were going on for very long. These are the things decided by the state government or the Central government because these files were kept secret for certain reasons," Chacko told ANI.

Chacko said Netaji was a national hero and a national leader, and added that his name itself was a big asset to India. The Congress considered him in high esteem.

"Let the declassified files come out, let us not make any emotional kind of reaction on this issue," he added.

The West Bengal Government on Friday declassified 64 files related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The files were handed to the family members first and also kept on display at the Police Museum in Kolkata.
