Djokovic remains on course for first French Open title post Milos Raonic win

World No.2 Novak Djokovic has reportedly remained on course for a first French Open title as he made it to the semifinals after defeating Canadian Milos Raonic 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

Djokovic will now face Latvia's Ernests Gulbis, who defeated Czech Republic's Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

According to the BBC, Djokovic, who is playing in his sixth Roland Garros and will go up in his 22nd major semifinal, will be the eight man in history to complete the career Grand Slam if he win's the final on Sunday.

Djokovic said that he tries to focus the intention only on the next match, so he does not think about eventual finals, adding that he is thinking only about Gulbis currently as the Latvian ace has been playing really well and is confident.

However, Djokovic added that he likes his chances against Gulbis because he has had a couple of great weeks on the clay courts, from Rome to now the last 10 days in Roland Garros.

The Serb added that two days off would definitely serve him well to recover, to work on some things on the practice courts, and then come back strong and prepare for the next challenge.
