E.L. James, along with California wine makers, will soon be releasing a collection of novel-themed wines, dubbed Red Satin and White Silk.
The best selling author of the erotic novel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' said in a release that wine plays an important role in the book, adding to the sensuality that pervades a number of scenes, Fox News reported.
The writer asserted that she has always had a penchant for good wine, so combining two of her passions to blend Red Satin and White Silk was a natural extension of the series.
James added that she hoped that her readers curl up with a glass as they enjoy the romance between the lead pair- Anastasia and Christian.
The release explained that the Grey Red Satin is a blend of Petite Sirah and Syrah that has been aged in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
According to the statement, the tasting notes in the win include black cherry, cocoa powder, caramel, vanilla, leather and clove spice.
Also, the White Silk, a blend of Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, features flavors like lychee, honey, tempered by flavors of crisp grapefruit, mineral and lush pear with a faint hint of butterscotch.
