Ed Sheeran got a pig-shaped statue of himself, which has been placed around Ipswich as part of the Pigs Gone Wild trail, and described it as "awesome."

Statue, titled 'Ed Sheer-Ham,' was completed with tattoos and red check shirt, is one of 40 sculptures to be scattered around the town, reports News.com.au.

This "huge hit" statue is now the talk of the town, with fans trotting to the statue in droves to snap a swine selfie.

"I'm really excited to have a pig sculpture made in my honour," the 25-year-old singer said.

"I hope Ed Sheer-Ham will be a huge hit on the Pigs Gone Wild trail in Ipswich ... I think he looks awesome," he added.
