England coach Trevor Bayliss has admitted that choosing a partner, who will play along with skipper and opener Alastair Cook, still remains a tricky issue ahead of their tour against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bayliss also revealed that no one out there had volunteered to play as an opener along with Cook, Sport24 reported.
Nottinghamshire opener Alex Hales is one of the batsmen that the England management could think about partnering with Cook but the latter has recently failed scoring just 53 runs in the last five matches that he had played.
However, 52-year-old Bayliss felt that Adam Lyth, who played well against New Zealand, is also a good option to play as an opener for the upcoming tour.
England will play three Tests, four ODIs and three T20s against Pakistan in the upcoming tour, starting from October 13.
