Former Pakistan head coach Mohsin Khan has reportedly slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) again saying that its regime under former chairman Najam Sethi has tarnished the PCB's image by not sticking to the procedure it had announced for national team head coaches appointment.

Khan said that Sethi had stained PCB's image by resorting to unethical practices as it handed contracts to Waqar Younis to be head coach, Mushtaq Ahmed as spin bowling coach and Grant Flower as batting coach after rewarding key positions to Moin Khan and Zaheer Abbas.

According to the Dawn, Khan said that Moin's appointment as chief selector-cum-team manager and Abbas being appointed as principal advisor to Sethi was done after the two failed to deliver during the Asia Cup and ICC World Twenty20 tournament in Bangladesh.

Khan said that everyone knows how Moin fared as the head coach and had been no good either as Pakistan's team consultant even though he is a world-class cricketer of his time.

Khan heavily slammed the PCB for not adhering to the criteria it had put in place for the appointment of coaches saying that initially he had been very impressed the way the cricket board had planned to pick the coaches when it advertised the positions.

However, he added that he was not only shocked but deeply disappointed when Younis' name began doing the rounds in the media and other platforms as the next head coach before the May 5 deadline.

Khan further said that he simply wants to ask the PCB board officials that if they had already made up their minds to have the head coach handpicked then why did they need to advertise the position, adding that it was a 'total farce' that showed the serious nature of the PCB's top brass.
