Facebook is reportedly introducing a new feature that will make it easier for users to share locations, along with a map, with their friends, family and colleagues inside Messenger app.

While Messenger already had a feature that allowed users to see friends' locations by just tapping on a message sent by them, the new feature, which will replace the old one, will let people share any location such as, a meeting spot at a music festival or a restaurant, inside the conversation, reported The Verge.

Facebook clarified that the new feature will not get the location information from the device in the background, but will allow people to select a location manually and hit 'Send' from the app. The feature can also be disabled entirely.
