Manchester United football team manager Louis van Gaal has updated coaching icon and the club's ex boss Sir Alex Ferguson's 'squeaky bum' phrase, claiming that he and his staff have been 'twitching' their 'ass' to describe the anxieties they have in football management.
Van Gaal has said that he and his staff have been twitching their ass in the dugout any time he has been forced to ditch his favoured 3-5-2 system and revert to a 4-4-2 formation that United fans are more familiar with.
Amending the 'squeaky bum' phrase Ferguson made famous, Van Gaal claimed that he knows all the stats, which state that United was second in possession over the last six games yet 16th in terms of efforts on goal, and added that he knows that they have won more with 4-4-2 in a diamond, but he insisted that when one analyses the game then they have twitched their ass on the bench, the BBC reported.
The Dutchman claimed that he told his players that he was squeezing his ass but added that it was the wrong expression, claiming that he has twitched his ass on the bench because the team was out of balance.
Van Gaal insisted that all the matches when United plays in the 4-4-2 system instead of his preferred 3-5-2 system, like they did against West Ham United, it was always twitching ones ass, adding that he doesn't like that.
