Freida Pinto has hopped onboard Andy Serkis-directed 'Jungle Book
The 30-year-old 'Slumdog Millionaire' actress will star as one of the live action characters opposite Matthew Rhys and Rohan Chand in the hybrid motion capture flick, Deadline.com reports.
Serkis, who had previously worked with Pinto in 2011's 'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes,' is also producing the film, which was penned by Callie Kloves, Steve Kloves and Jonathan Cavendish.
The movie, which also features the voices of Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Benedict Cumberbatch, is based on the Rudyard Kipling classic tale where an orphaned boy is raised by animals.
The film, which is different from Disney's Jon Favreau directed project, is slated for an October 2016 release.
