Backing India's bid for permanent seat in the UN Security Council (UNSC), Bhutan has stated that countries like Brazil, Germany, India, and Japan, known as the G4 nations, must be given permanent seats in the UNSC.
"The UN reforms will be incomplete without reforming the Security Council to reflect the changing realities of the world," Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay said.
Addressing the UN General Assembly Tobgay stated that countries like India, Japan, Brazil and Germany must be called upon to serve as permanent members in the Security Council.
He also averred that Africa must be appropriately represented.
