West Indies swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle has settled dispute with Australian cricketer Shane Watson, who condemned the former over his infamous 'sexist' comments on female reporter, as the duo is preparing to play together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Watson was one of the most vocal critics after Gayle made an inappropriate remark to Network Ten journalist Mel McLaughlin during his side Melbourne Renegades' victory over the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League ( BBL),the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The flamboyant posted a smiling picture of him along with Watson and tweeted, "Who would've thought this would happen??? want to punch him in the belly when taking this, but #RCB need him for #IPL."
Replying to the post, Watson said that it would be great to play alongside Gayle in the IPL.
"Amazing how the world works!!Now teammates @RCBTweets. Should be great fun batting with the new age Master Blaster," alongside his own copy of the image," Watson wrote on Twitter.
Gayle, who was fined 7500 USD, told the TV reporter that he batted well just to have an interview with her.
He did not stop there and said that her (reporter's) eyes were very beautiful and asked her out for drinks after the game, adding that she should not blush.
