Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited headquarters of Strike Corps in Mangla to review the operational preparedness.
He was accompanied by the DG Military Operations, reports Radio Pakistan.
The Army Chief's visit coincides with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chairing a meeting of parliamentary leaders today to discuss the security situation amid growing tensions with the Indian side and increased ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).
Addressing the leaders at the meeting, Sharif said the session was very important because a unified message from the political leadership of Pakistan would be sent out.
