Gerard Depardieu fined for drunken driving in Paris

French actor Gerard Depardieu was fined 4,000 Euros by a Paris court for drunken driving.

The court also suspended the 64-year-old star's driving licence for six months, the BBC reported.

Depardieu, who has been hailed as one of the finest actors of his generation, fell from his scooter on November 29, and cops found him three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, which could have resulted in a two-year prison term.
