Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the government is keeping an eye on the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Arnia Sector.

"We have the information; we are keeping an eye on the situation," said Singh.

Earlier today, a soldier was reportedly killed in a gun battle between the militants and security forces in Pindi post of Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura Sector.

Two soldiers were injured during the encounter between the militants and security forces near Pindi post.

The Border Security Force (BSF) had cordoned off the area after the villagers reported the movement of militants in Arnia Sector.

The operation against the militants is still underway.
