Defence Estates contributes Rs. 48.9 lakhs to Prime Minister's National Relief Fund

A cheque for Rs. 48,90,000 was presented to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar by Director General Defence Estates (DGDE) Ravi Kant Chopra here today as the contribution of the Defence Estates Organisation to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

This amount was collected from voluntary contribution by officers and staff of the Defence Estates Organisation towards relief efforts in Jammu and Kashmir, which was recently devastated by floods.
