Vice President Hamid Ansari will be attending the trilateral Summit Meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel treaty at Beijing today.
The Vice President arrived in Beijing from Xian city on Friday evening to take part in the Summit along with Myanmar President Thein Sein and Chinese leadership and was accompanied by a high-level delegation.
Ansari reached China on Thursday to hold bilateral discussions with his counterpart Li Yuanchao and attend events to mark the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel Agreement.
This is the first visit of an Indian leader to China after the BJP-led NDA government came to power last month.
