Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday trained his guns at the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, claiming that the by-polls held in recent months proved that its popularity was declining.

"It's been four months only, and during the by-polls held in Uttarakhand, Congress won in three seats, while in Rajasthan the Congress won in three out of four seats," he said at an election rally here.

"Environment was created during Lok Sabha polls, people were told to give power to one, and with his magic wand he will resolve all issues," he added.

Haryana chief minister trained his guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- led NDA government at the Centre for failing to keep its promises by giving befitting reply to Pakistan and China on the issue of border violations.

He claimed that pension for senior citizens would be increased upto Rs.1500 from November 1st. "Earlier pension for old was Rs200,then Rs500,now its Rs1000,from 1st November we have decided to make it Rs1500," he said.

Haryana will go to polls on October 15 along with Maharashtra while the counting in both states will be held on October 19.
