Amid golf games and beach fun, President Barack Obama has brought a handful of books with him on the Martha's Vineyard beach for his summer reading.

The 44th U.S. President, who was on a 16-day vacation on the island, derived the time to read fictions such as Anthony Doerr's Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller 'All the Light We Cannot See' and non-fiction including Ron Chernow's George Washington bio 'Washington: A Life,' the People Magazine reported.

Obama's other reading list includes 'All That Is' by James Salter, 'The Sixth Extinction' by Elizabeth Kolbert ,'The Lowland' by Jhumpa Lahiri and 'Between the World and Me' by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
