A former Special Forces operative has revealed how rogue SAS elements might have murdered the Princess of Wales.

As Scotland Yard detectives and members of the Army's Special Investigations Branch examine claims that a member of the SAS was involved in the deaths of Diana and Dodi Fayed, retired soldier Bob Stirling outlined how a textbook assassination would have been staged, the Daily Express reported.

Using specially trained handlers, covert reconnaissance and a laser light to force Diana's chauffeur-driven limousine off the road, the rogue death squad could not only have successfully completed their deadly mission, but made it look like a road accident.

Bob, 55, trained with the Special Air Service before being deployed in operations with another Special Forces unit.

He said that if a rogue SAS element did take part in the operation to kill Diana, he would have had a wide range of techniques and skills.

These techniques are taught for good reason, he said.

He added that the work these Special Forces do is vital in safeguarding the nation's interests and saving innocent lives, and they are extremely effective.
