Taking a jibe at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's 57-day sabbatical, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said if someone wants to holiday, it is their right and also up to them to reflect on it.

"This answer can only be given by the Congress. What his plans are, where he went, why he was not available for 70 days and almost 60 days outside the country, and what he wants to do. Now if someone wants to holiday, it is their right and it is up to them to reflect on it," said BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli.

"With regards to the country, we have a Prime Minister and his cabinet and they are working from morning till late in the night to improve the conditions in the country and to clear the mess left behind by the previous government," he added.

Rahul Gandhi arrived in the national capital yesterday after a two-month long break from the political scene. His whereabouts were a matter of much speculation and it is still not known where he spent his holidays.

Rahul, who had been on leave since February 16, is likely to address a mega Kisaan Mazdoor rally in the national capital on April 19.

The Congress Party, however, had maintained that the 44-year-old is on introspection with an aim to strengthen the organisation.
