Asking the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the arrests of his party's supporters by police, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday said, "This is no arrest... this is abduction."

He was speaking to reporters outside his Bani Gala residence.

The PTI chief asked under which law were people being arrested.

Continuing his outburst against Nawaz Sharif, Khan remarked that Sharif is a product of dictatorship and he does not understand democracy, reports the Dawn.

The PTI Chairman said, "They are going to launch a crackdown here today. I have told workers to gear up as we will be putting up resistance."

Khan said the caravan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would reach Bani Gala after removing all obstacles created by police.

The PTI and the Pakistani Government have been at loggerheads since the names of members of Prime Minister Sharif's family appeared in the Panama Papers leaks.
