Extremely disappointed with the cancellation of the NSA-level talks, PDP's youth president Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para on Sunday said both nations should continue talking to each other as dialogue is the only way to move forward.
"Well not a positive development so far India-Pakistan relationship is concerned. The PDP is very clear that Kashmir should be seen as a facilitator and a bridge between India-Pakistan relationships not as an irritant. So, it is unfortunate that somewhere Kashmir has become today the disconnect between the dialogues," Para told ANI.
"The two countries should initiate dialogue, they should keep talking to each other. The two countries should come closer politically, socially, economically because strategically they are very important to each other," he added.
Pakistan had last night cancelled the NSA-level talks stating that it would not serve any purpose if conducted on the basis of what it called two conditions laid down by India.
India has described the cancellation of talks by Pakistan as unfortunate.
"Pakistan's decision is unfortunate. India did not set any preconditions," tweeted MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup.
"We only reiterated that Pakistan respect the spirit of the Simla & Ufa Agreements to which it was already committed," he said in another tweet.
