Harrison Ford was injured after he crash landed a plane he was flying, but is expected to make full recovery.
A rep for the 72-year-old actor said that Ford was flying a WW2 vintage plane which stalled upon takeoff, and he had to make an emergency landing, which he did safely, and though he is injured, it's not life-threatening, TMZ.com reported.
The 'Star Wars' actor's son Ben also took to Twitter and shared, "At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is."
Ford had reported the engine failure to the Santa Monica Airport control tower only moments after he'd taken off, requesting an emergency return to the airport.
He just crash landed on the golf course, and a witness who was golfing at the time said that she heard the engine sputter and watched the plane do a "nose dive straight on the 8th hole tee box."
The witness added that Ford 4 to 5 men pulled him out of the plane, and the two doctors were already there with a 1st aid box with them, and immediately started tending to the huge deep cut on his head. After the emergency personnel arrived to the scene, the actor was transported to a nearby hospital.
