Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney is reportedly in doubt for his team's quarter-final second leg tie against German champions Bayern Munich on April 10 because of a toe injury.
The England striker, who picked up the problem in Tuesday's 1-1 first leg draw, will miss the Old Trafford side's Premier League game at Newcastle on Saturday.
According to the BBC, manager David Moyes confirmed that Rooney has got a badly bruised toe, which may be a problem for the Munich match, although he added that they would try to speed up the treatment by treating Rooney over the weekend.
The absence of Rooney would be a bitter blow for United as in this Champions League campaign, he has played eight games and scored two goals against Leverkusen, although his pivotal role extends beyond the bare statistics, the report added.
