Hoping to encourage millions of singles to tie the knot, Iran has launched its first official matchmaking website, Hamsan.Tebyan.net, which provides a platform for singles to post their
profiles and specify what they are looking for in a potential spouse.
Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mahmoud Golzari has said that millions of young unwed Iranians justified the launching of thesite, Fox News reported.
A board of mediators match the applicants registered in the site after reviewing their age, education, wealth and family background.
