Jessica Simpson wishes to star in a comedy about a harried married mom, who runs a successful business, a sitcom loosely based on her life.
According to an insider, the 35-year-old songstress really wants to get back into acting as she has taking lessons for more than a year, reports News24.com.
The source further revealed that though Simpson has been meeting producers, no offers have come in and so she is taking matters into her own hands.
It is being said that 'The Dukes of Hazzard' star is planning to bankroll the sitcom herself and could even get her former NFL husband, Nick Lachey, on board as a producer.
