John Ortiz hops aboard Danny Boyle's 'Steve Jobs'

John Ortiz has joined the cast of Universal Pictures' Danny Boyle directed film, 'Steve Jobs.'

The project, which began production last month in San Francisco, stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs, and Ortiz will the role of Joel Pforzheimer, the GQ magazine journalist who is seen interviewing him, Deadline.com reported.

Aaron Sorkin-penned the movie, which has been slated for an October release.

Ortiz is currently onscreen in Michael Mann's 'Blackhat', recurs on HBO's comedy 'Togetherness' and had also starred in Disney's 'The Finest Hours' opposite Chris Pine.
