US Open champion Justin Rose's pregnant sister had reportedly feared that she might have gone into labour watching his win on the television.
The golfer, who lost his father and mentor Ken to cancer in 2002, is the first English major winner since Nick Faldo in 1996, The Sun reports.
According to Rose's sister Margi North, she had learnt in her pre-natal classes that adrenaline brings on labour, adding that after watching her brother winning on TV, her husband felt all night that her baby was about to come.
The Bristol-resident North further said that Rose has been involved in golf as long as she can remember, adding that she and her mother would go for walks around the course while he played with their father.
