Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at the ministry here on Thursday.
Quoting Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Mishra said, "Cleanliness is next to godliness," as he kicked-off the campaign by cleaning the floor of a section and arranging files in another. He also interacted with the staff and encouraged them to follow his example.
In his Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked of the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign and called for India to be clean by October 2019, Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.
