Kate Mara has been offered a role in Ridley Scott's 'The Martian', it has been revealed.
According to Deadline.com, script is adapted by 'Cabin in the Woods' Drew Goddard from the book by Andy Weir.
The publication earlier reported that Jessica Chastain and Kristin Wiig will be seen in the lead roles opposite Matt Damon.
The story revolves around an astronaut marooned on Mars.
The 20th Century Fox has set the movie's release for November, 2015.
