Kejriwal to distribute compensation to Delhi farmers

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday will distribute compensation cheques to farmers who have suffered crop loss due to unseasonal rain.

According to reports, Kejriwal will hand over compensation to around 100 farmers, with an estimated 19,000 farmers across Delhi to benefit from the scheme.

Farmers who have suffered crop loss of 70 per cent and above will reportedly be given a compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre, while those below that area will be given a minimum compensation of Rs 14,000 per acre.
