Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Venkaiah Naidu has asserted that land is an important component for growth and that the government is willing to compromise on the amendments to the Land Acquisition bill.
"Land is an important component for growth and the government is looking to create awareness on the issue," said Naidu.
Naidu asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' with farmers was a step to create awareness amongst farmers.
The minister also stated that last year, 28 states had opined that the land bill needs changes, which led to the NDA government proposing the same.
He further added that the opposition must understand the mandate received in the Lok Sabha and respect it.
