Ludhiana on Thursday witnessed a fresh case of braid chopping, this time the victim being a 14-year-old girl.
The girl's father claimed that the incident happened when the family members were sleeping.
The victim's father said, "My daughter suddenly said that she suffered some serious headache. When we switched on the light, we saw that a portion of her hair was chopped-off and she was suffering massive pain and felt weak too."
He further said that they admitted her to a nearest hospital for medical check-up.
Earlier, two similar incidents were reported in the city.
Braid of one of the women was chopped off when she was alone at her house and the room was locked from inside.
In another incident, a 23-year-old woman claimed that her braid was chopped-off twice in a day.
