'Maleficent' surpassed 500 million dollars milestone marking Angelina Jolie's highest-grossing live-action film of all time over the weekend.
The Disney fairy tale earned 335.6 million dollars internationally and 521.6 million dollars on worldwide box office, passing the company's live-action film 'Oz the Great and Powerful', which had grossed 493.3 million dollars worldwide.
The 39-year-old beauty's previous best was 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' in 2005, which had claimed 478.2 million dollars.
At the international level, the film earned its best in Mexico with 40.4 million dollars, Russia with 34.8 million dollars, 25.7 million dollars in the U.K. and 24.2 dollars million in Brazil, and the movie is yet to hit the theatres in Japan.
