Premier League rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly set to go to battle in order to scoop up Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the summer.
Media reports suggest that Fabregas is among those who would be available at the end of the season as Barcelona is set for an overhaul in the summer because of their below-par performances in both La Liga and the Champions League.
According to Metro.co.uk, United had been trying to bag the Spanish international last year, when Fabregas had been playing for Arsenal, and speculations are that the club is still keen on the midfielder.
However, City, who are reportedly looking forward to strengthen their midfield as Gareth Barry is set to leave Manuel Pellegrini's squad at the end of the season, are also speculated to make a move on Fabregas.
Meanwhile Arsenal might also be looking forward to bring their midfielder back to the club if it becomes clear that Fabregas would be available over the summer, the report added.
