A man has set a Guinness World Record by knitting a scarf while running a marathon.

David Babcock, who ran the Kansas City Marathon, managed to knit a 12ft 13.4in long scarf at the same time, Metro.co.uk reported.

Babcock told KCTV that it took him a long time to do distance running and to knit.

He added that he thought about doing both the things together, even though it was tedious, as he considered it to be a fun challenge.

Babcock's record has surpassed Susie Hewer's previous feat of making a 6ft 9in long during a long distance race.
