Two goals from Robin van Persie ensured David Moyes picked his first silverware for Manchester United, as the Old Trafford Giants beat FA Cup winners Wigan 2-0 to win the Community Shield on Sunday.
According to the Mirror, Van Persie's first attempt on goal brought the opener; his second sealed the deal, all too comfortable to be close to a contest.
Welbeck made the final pass, Van Persie stepped inside on to his left foot and a deflection off James Perch gave Carson no chance, for the second goal, the report said.
Although Moyes did not go wild after the match in celebration, his composure definitely slipped, the report added.
