The seizure of cash, liquor and drugs during the assembly elections in Manipur this year has witnessed a big jump from last polls.
Manipur has seen record seizures of suspected heroine powder worth Rs. 12, 15,500, N-10 Capsules worth Rs. 3, 21,530, SP Capsules worth Rs. 1, 96, 86,315, Ganja worth Rs. 5,34,000, WY Tablets worth Rs. 1,26,370, Opium worth Rs. 23,48,320, Cough syrup (Tusscodine) worth Rs. 900, Morphene worth Rs. 14,00,000, Zolfresh worth Rs. 65,940 as per the progressive data recorded.
A similar massive increase in liquor has also been recorded. Country liquor DIC worth Rs. 55, 46,235, IMFL worth Rs. 12, 61,368, Beer worth Rs. 66,215 and wine worth Rs. 6,057.5 have been seized by till now.
