Marta nets record 15th WC goal in Brazil's 2-0 win over S.Korea

Marta surpassed former Germany striker Birgit Prinz to become the all-time leading goal scorer in Women's World Cup history by scoring in Brazil 2-0 win over South Korea.

Formiga, the oldest goal scorer in the tournament's history, put Brazil ahead in the 33rd minute before Marta scored her 15th career World Cup goal through a second-half penalty to steer the team to victory, the BBC has reported.

With this win, Brazil stand at the first position in the Group E after the first round of fixtures.
