A short circuit led to a massive fire inside a scrap shop in Jaipur on Tuesday, engulfing the entire shop and reducing goods to rubble. However, no one was reported hurt in the mishap.
"I was making tea when suddenly there was a short circuit inside the shop and massive fire broke out. After that we called the fire brigade," said the owner of the shop.
A nearby fruit seller Mohammd Rafeeq also appealed for help from the government so that the owner's loss could be compensated.
"There was short circuit due to which fire broke out. The boy who runs a tea shop has a young sister and he used to earn his bread and butter through this only. He also used to sell basic things of a general store but everything burnt in fire. He is an orphan so we want if the Government can help him," said Rafeeq.
