Argentine football star Lionel Messi has poured scorn on reports linking Barcelona with a January move for Fulham's Dimitar Berbatov.
According to Metro.co.uk, reports of Barca's interest were sparked with Messi continuing to struggle with injury this season, after he was ruled out for two months with a hamstring problem.
Any move for Berbatov is expected to be a temporary measure to see Tata Martino's side through until the end of the season, with the former Manchester United striker available to play in the Champions League, the report said.
Messi said that it was not his business to interfere with the club's transfer decisions but he thought it was impossible for Berbatov to join Barcelona.
He added that he had not heard the rumour so far, and Berbatov was in fact, a good player with experience in a big team.
