Militant killed in Keran Sector during foiled infiltration bid
Security forces killed a militant in the Keran Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday, while he was reportedly trying to enter Indian territory from across the border.
Media reports quoted army sources, as saying that troops noticed some suspicious movement in the sector this morning, and opened fire.
The gun battle was brief. The body of the slain militant was recovered later along with an AK assault rifle.
