Pakistan cricket team captain Misbah-ul Haq has ruled out the chances of Friday's World Cup quarterfinal tie against Australia being his last ODI outing, saying that this tournament and his career are obviously not over.

The veteran batsman has already announced his intentions of retiring from one-day cricket after the World Cup as has star all-rounder Shahid Afridi.

Misbah said that they would really like to go further in this tournament and would try their best to win Friday's match and that's what the desire and dream is. He added that he wants to play good cricket and put in his best performance, The Dawn reported.

Misbah said that he would simply take it as a game; a normal game, although he would be under pressure to avoid defeat as it could mean an end to his ODI career.

The skipper said that they want to do the basics right and added that if one thinks further than that then they are putting themselves under pressure and neither Afridi nor he would do that.

Moreover, Misbah said that he was satisfied with what he had achieved in his career, come what might happen on Friday.

Misbah, who made his Test debut in New Zealand in 2001, said that in fact whatever they have achieved, the biggest satisfaction is that they gave everything to their team, put their efforts together for the team and country and that gives them the biggest satisfaction.
