A model from Singapore who went missing in Pakistan last week has been found dead in a ditch on the edge of Islamabad.
Fehmina Chaudhry, 27, who was originally from Karachi, went missing last Thursday while visiting Islamabad to buy property, police said.
According to news.com.au, Islamabad police spokesman Muhammad Naeem said that the police arrested a real estate broker and after interrogation, he told officers that he had murdered the model and dumped her body in a stream at the outskirts of the city.
Her promoter in Pakistan, Asif Hashmi confirmed Chaudhry's death, and said she was married with a son and a daughter.
Hashmi said that Chaudhry was a dedicated philanthropist and she was planning to set up a fashion school in Pakistan.
