The movie starts with a high voltage action sequence where, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is seen hanging from a plane which has taken off.
Hunt has to intercept the nerve gas which is being carried on board the plan and prevent it to be sold to the terrorists.
After, the successful interception of the nerve gas, the director of the CIA Alan Hunley (Alec) and IMF agent William Brandt (Jeremy Renner) appear before a committee and Hunley is successful in banning the IMF and getting absorbed by the CIA.
Meanwhile, Hunt goes to the IMF substation to receive his next orders and gets captured by the syndicate which is a rogue criminal organization.
Hunt is very sure that he can prove the existence of Syndicate. Hunt then escapes the torture of Janik "Bone Doctor" Vinter with the help of a disavowed MI6 operative IIsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson).
Six months later Hunt still is on the run. He is still searching for Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) who is the syndicate fugitive who captured him. Hunt then contacts his former colleague Benji (Simon Pegg) to help him to capture Lane who Hunt believes is the leader of syndicate.
What follows is an action packed sequence where Hunt and his team including IIsa infiltrate an underwater server to steal a ledger. The ledger is of prime importance as it contains the accounts where billions of dollars can be accessed.
This ledger in the hands of syndicate could be catastrophic. The ledger is locked by a 'red box' which can be unlocked only by the biometrics of the British Prime Minister.
Well now its upto you to discover the rest of the suspense in the movie. One more thing, you just can't afford to blink as you might miss out on something important in this movie.
The movie is a must watch as it keeps you gripped right till the last scene. The movie is filled with breathtaking action and suspense. One just can't anticipate the next scene.
Tom Cruise has proved that he still has it in him to pull off unbelievable stunts. Rebecca is a pleasant surprise with some great fight scenes and action. All I can say is that this is a movie you just can't afford to miss.
